What is Leszynski inInkput?

Leszynski inInkput is a custom control developed by Leszynski Group for ink input in managed Windows Forms applications running on a Tablet PC.  This control collects, recognizes, formats, and validates numeric data in your Visual Studio 2005 Tablet PC applications using masked ink input fields.

The current Preview Edition version (available below for download) contains an evaluation release of the Leszynski.Ink.inInkput helper assembly.  This library can be referenced from your Windows Forms applications to present a custom TextBox control that generates an ink-friendly pop-up when the Tablet PC pen is tapped in the text box.

inInkput provides a customized recognition experience by coercing entered information based on a recognizer hint per cell (a 'mask').  Placeholder characters can also be included to streamline data entry, as shown in Figure 1.

System Requirements

Leszynski inInkput requires:

• Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.

• Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (version 8.x) with Visual Basic, Visual C#, Managed C++, or any combination of these languages installed.

• Microsoft Tablet PC Platform SDK Version 1.7 (get it here).

Downloading Leszynski inInkput

Note:  This is Preview Edition software, designed to demonstrate a technology under development.  Leszynski Group makes no representations or warranties about its suitability for any particular task.  This toolkit may not have been thoroughly tested.  This Preview Edition is not supported by Leszynski Group and we will not answer support questions about it.  Preview Edition software may have built-in expiration dates (although this release does not).
