November 11, 2006. Microsoft today released Windows Vista, the first version of Windows to ship with Snipping Tool functionality built-in. Snipping Tool is a utility designed and written by Leszynski Group in 2002 and later upgraded for inclusion in the Tablet PC Experience Pack. Snipping Tool has enjoyed immense popularity and reviewers are already calling it "a welcome addition to Windows Vista".
November 15, 2004. Microsoft today announced the publication of a public case study on Leszynski Group's pioneering mobile sales force automation ('SFA') solution built for Overall Laundry Services on Tablet PC computers [case study].
June 15, 2004. UGS, Intel, Leszynski Group, and other partners today announced completion of phase one of a wireless Tablet PC-based mobility solution project for maintenance mechanics at Tinker Air Force Base, which improves the efficiency and productivity of aircraft maintenance while producing significant cost savings. Leszynski Group authored a unique ink-input component to collect and recognize ink entries into this solution. All project partners are members of the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS), which manages research collaborations around technical innovation [press release].
October 29, 2003. Dr. Richard Rashid, Senior Vice President of Microsoft Research, demonstrated Magic Paper at the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles today. Magic Paper is an application prototype jointly funded by Microsoft Research and Leszynski Group that forges a new model for the education sector by combining shape recognition and animation on the Tablet PC with a user experience developed by MIT's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory [full keynote text]. May 20, 2003. In Bill Gates' keynote at the Microsoft Global Leaders Summit in Redmond today, Microsoft demonstrated Leszynski Group's pioneering healthcare application for the Tablet PC -- the Special Investigations System. Click here to read more about Special Investigations.
March 19, 2003. In Bill Gates' keynote at the Mobility Developers Conference in New Orleans today, Microsoft praised Leszynski Group's "work in advanced shape recognition" and described some of the forthcoming functionality of the Leszynski inShape product, noting that a developer can build applications with inShape to "search all the parts in the database and find a part that matches what [was] just sketched...". February 28, 2003. Leszynski Group's InkToolBar free component, posted to TabletPCDeveloper.com, was the site's top download for the month, and continues to be its most popular tool. Leszynski Group developed this tool for Tablet PC solution developers, and posted it along with a dozen other utilities and articles, on Microsoft's Web site for Tablet PC developers. November 7, 2002. Bill Gates and Rob Lowe closed out the Tablet PC launch event in New York City today with a rousing demo of Leszynski Group software. Using the Tablet PC Snipping Tool developed by Leszynski Group, Gates clipped a portion of a photo of himself and Lowe, autographed the photo for Lowe's children, and e-mailed it to them.
